Our Day
Lisa was late! Almost did not make it in time. Rich was forty minutes early. He had time to go to the bank, park, repark, go through security, and wait in the clerks office for me to come screaming in right at 4pm. You see, they stop issuing marriage licenses at 4pm and we needed the license to keep our appointment with the magistrate which was also at 4pm but, shew, we made it and we now are in fact officially husband and wife. We had a sweet ceremony with the magistrate and exchanged the sweetest vows. It was the best! Then we went to a very fancy dinner! No not really we went to Kroger and got groceries and dinner to cook at home :) We also bought two very special plants to plant on this our very special (okay a little out of the ordinary) day, but so sweet. We ate our special stir fry for dinner with baby Zo telling us that we should not have kept the wedding a secret from her and that we should have completely informed her before she was leaving for school that morning that today was in fact the wedding day. We planted our love plants, butterfly bushes, that we hope do not die. Mom and Jeri were adamant that we plant something that we will not kill. So we planted and Zoe messed and Bailey ran after every neighbor dog within a 2 mile radius. Fun huh. Awwww Cherished Chaos. It was the most special evening and Zoe kept reminding us that we are really now a family and "Oh I love you Step Father" We also had cake. Zo went to bed and so did the dog so we got to enjoy our wedding cake. Molten chocolate cake. Yum. We even did the first bite. I love you Rich Young. Happy Wedding Day.
OUR SONG
When the winter rains come pourin' down
On that new home of mine,
Will you think of me and wonder if I'm fine?
Will your restless heart come back to mine
On a journey thru the past.
Will I still be in your eyes and on your mind?
Now I'm going back to Canada
On a journey thru the past
And I won't be back till February comes
I will stay with you if you'll stay with me,
Said the fiddler to the drum,
And we'll keep good time on a journey thru the past.

When the winter rains come pourin' down
On that new home of mine,
Will you think of me and wonder if I'm fine?
Will your restless heart come back to mine
On a journey thru the past.
Will I still be in your eyes and on your mind?
Now I'm going back to Canada
On a journey thru the past
And I won't be back till February comes
I will stay with you if you'll stay with me,
Said the fiddler to the drum,
And we'll keep good time on a journey thru the past.

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here
And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face
Now I see it everyday
And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?
And in a wide sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
